Until Dawn Remake PC System Requirements Revealed

Sony has revealed the PC system requirements for the upcoming remake of Until Dawn from Ballistic Moon. For the most part, the specifications aren’t too steep. You’ll need as much as a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6900XT to run the game on its highest settings.

The PC version for the Until Dawn remake has been designed to run on various configurations including 720p at 30FPS for its lowest settings to 4K at 60FPS on Ultra. Chris Lamb, the technical director at Ballistic Moon, stated on a PlayStation blog post, “The PC version will have advanced graphical features, customisability, accessibility features and run on a wide range of hardware.”

Minimum (720p at 30FPS):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (or similar with AVX support)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 / AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Storage: 70GB on SSD
  • OS: Windows 10 / 11

Recommended (1080p at 60FPS):

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 8600 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 6600XT
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Storage: 70GB on SSD

High (1440p at 60 FPS or 4K at 30FPS):

  • CPU: Intel Core i5 8600 / AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 / AMD Radeon RX 6800XT
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Storage: 70GB on SSD

Ultra (4K at 60FPS):

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 11700K / AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 6900XT
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Storage: 70GB on NVMe

The Until Dawn remake will also feature full DualSense controller support as well as support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3, ultrawide aspect ratios, ray tracing support and unlocked frame rates.

Earlier this month, Ballistic Moon announced that it would be doing ‘significant’ layoffs at the company, mere weeks before the remake’s release on 4 October 2024. The game will be coming to both PS5 and PC at launch – a full remake of the original interactive cinematic horror experience from Supermassive Games.
