Earlier this week, we reported that professional Chinese team, Vici Gaming, leaked The International 2019 dates for both the group stages and the playoffs. Now, Valve has confirmed the playoff dates for The International 2019. Every Dota 2 fan can now mark their calendars with some permanent marker as the dates have been set.

The Main Event playoffs for The International 2019 will take place at the massive Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. The stadium with a seating capacity of 18,000 and it will probably be filled to the brim from 20 to 25 August 2019 since The International 2019 playoff dates have now been officially revealed by the Dota 2 Twitter account.
The International 2019 will be taking place on August 20th through the 25th. We are still finalizing details that are required before tickets can go on sale, but we expect to be able to do that in a couple of weeks.

I, for one, simply can’t wait for The International as it is the greatest esports spectacle tournament to watch each year. It is an event that brings fans together as the top Dota 2 teams in the world fight it out for a mammoth prize pool, which has made esports history every year since its inception.
The Group Stage dates are yet to be confirmed, but since Vici Gaming’s leak was on point with the playoff dates, you can be quite sure that The International 2019’s group stage will run from 16 to 18 August 2019.
