Valve Releases Dota 2 Collector’s Cache Volume II For R36 Each

It seems someone light a fire under Valve as they have been providing updates and releasing content a bit faster for Dota 2 Battle Pass owners after the long wait for the Immortal Treasure II and the Mo’rokai special event. In the early hours of the morning today (13 July 2019) Valve released another update weighing in at over 400mb, featuring the Collector’s Cache Volume II.

The Collector’s Cache Volume II holds some really cool items, from Warlock’s Tribal Pathways set that I managed to get in my one and only Collector’s Cache I will buy for this one, as well as an ultra rare Juggernaut set, a rare set that makes Necro look like a birdman and much more.

There are a total of 16 cosmectic item sets and the Collector’s Cache Volume II features escalating odds for a better chance to get some rares as you continue to open them. One Collector’s Cache Volume II will set you back R36, so just getting all the normale ones if you aren’t lucky will set you back just over R400.

You can also earn some Battle Points by opening these treasures. Opening 1 nets you 2500 Battle Points, opening 7 gets you 5000 Battle Points and opening 13 gives you 24,500 Battle Points. You can also recycle sets you don’t want for 2000 Battle Points each.

Valve explains that:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#33fff9″ class=”” size=””] The International 2019 Collector’s Cache returns for another round, featuring multiple items from this year’s Call to Arms as well as some hidden workshop gems for a span of favorite heroes—including a Rare set for Necrophos, a Very Rare set for Ember Spirit, and an Ultra Rare set for Juggernaut.

Volume II of the Collector’s Cache will only be available for the next thirty days and is the only way to receive these exclusive item sets, apart from the Ultra Rare Juggernaut set which will be marketable near the end of 2020 after next year’s tournament concludes. As is tradition, 25% of each sale contributes directly to The International prize pool. [/perfectpullquote]

This is what I got from opening one Collector’s Cache Volume II:

The sets look pretty great but honestly, Valve should have given one Collector’s Cache Volume II for every 100 Battle Pass levels you have or something along that line.
