Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed once again, this time to October 2025. Developer The Chinese Room and publisher Paradox Interactive, after a string of previous delays, announced back in 2023 that the game was slated for a 2024 release. It got pushed out of that window and into Q1/Q2 2025. Now, Paradox Interactive has unfortunately delayed the game again, though it does come with a bit of good news.
In a new video update posted to social media, executive producer Marco Behrmann confirmed, “Since our last update, we’ve added more content to the game, narrative depth, character development, and we have also evolved Fabien’s role in the storyline.” The social media post confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will release in October 2025, hopefully without delays.
However, Behrmann also clarified that the game is done and currently going through the fixing and testing phases to squash bugs and improve stability and performance. The Chinese Room revealed that the delay was “to ensure that the game meets the high standard that you deserve. We have decided to pause all Dev Diaries so that TCR can focus on elevating the game.”
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 recently received an ESRB rating which revealed some gameplay details as well as the level of violence and profanity we can expect from the upcoming vampire RPG. An excerpt from the rating reads:
“Battles are frenetic, accompanied by impact sounds, realistic gunfire, and large blood-splatter effects. Some attacks can result in close-up sequences of players’ character decapitating and/or impaling enemies. A handful of areas depict decapitated corpses in pools of blood; large bloodstains also appear in several environments. The game contains suggestive/sexual material in the dialogue (e.g., “snacking on wh*res,”; “p*ssy musta…real sweet”; and “D*ldo of consequence don’t come lubed, does it?”). The word “f**k” is heard in the game.”
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 now launches in October 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Hopefully no further delays are required – or potential clashes with GTA 6. Watch the full game update video below.
