The release date for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 has seemingly leaked and it might be coming much sooner than anyone anticipated. The anticipated vampire RPG has been through a rough development and that’s putting it lightly. Back in 2021, the project was almost cancelled before it changed hands to another studio under publisher Paradox Interactive. The long wait might finally be coming to an end, according to a new listing.
As spotted by Twitter user Gamer&Trader, Paradox has been teasing a big reveal for Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 at PAX West, which starts in two weeks. According to the online shop of Plaions, the physical distributor of the game in some regions, the game has a release date listed for 27 October 2023. There are also a number of available editions including the First Blood Edition and the Unsanctioned Edition, though we don’t know the contents of these editions yet.

Before we get our hopes up, some commenters pointed out that the release date seems unrealistic. We’ve heard or seen very little about Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 for the past two years and it wouldn’t make sense for Paradox to suddenly drop a big reveal with a release date over a month away.
The other possibility is that Paradox simply wants to get the game out the door and be done with it, hence its placement at the end of October which clashes with the release of Alan Wake 2 on the same day. That’s not even mentioning the absolutely stacked list of major games releasing in October which includes Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, among many others, that it will have to contend with.
On the other hand, if Bloodlines 2 does show up at PAX West, it could be announced with a more realistic release date sometime in early or mid-2024. As with all rumours and reports, take this with a grain of salt until we get confirmation from the publisher.
