Warcraft 3 Reforged has not had a great release. Players have been complaining about the game since its debut with various technical issues and the lack of new features being the talking point across the internet. The remaster is not living up to Blizzard’s promise and is now sitting on the lowest Metacritic user score for a video game. The backlash has now forced Blizzard to change its stance on the game and grant refunds to unhappy players.
According to a subreddit, Blizzard support will now grant players a full refund for their Warcraft 3 Reforged regardless of how much time they have spent on the game. Reddit user krOnicLTD played the game for about five hours and received a refund without any issues. This goes to show just how easy it might be for those requesting their money back for the game.
Fans of the series have been unhappy over the remaster due to various reasons. Someone actually built a whole website called Warcraft3Refunded.com which markets the game’s lack of new features and missing quality of life improvements. Deleted scenes, untouched cinematics and a stale UI are just a few issues players have had with the remaster. Overall, the quality Blizzard showed off at BlizzCon2018 for Warcraft 3 Reforged is a day and night difference to the finished product players paid good money for. Players are calling the remaster “a broken, dishonest, anti-consumer, glorified remaster”.
