Warcraft Rumble was announced back in May this year. However, it was first unveiled with a different name. Formerly known as Warcraft Arclight Rumble, Blizzard decided to drop the “Arclight” word and simply call the game Warcraft Rumble.
In the game, players will build and command miniature armies made up of heroes, villains and creatures from the Warcraft universe. The game description reads:
“Deploy legendary characters from throughout Warcraft history—featuring the likes of Jaina Proudmoore, Grommash Hellscream, Hogger, and more—as you put your strategy skills to the test in a variety of gameplay modes, both solo and against other players. Each mission in the massive single-player campaign presents a distinct, bite-sized strategic puzzle to solve, while deep player-versus-player systems, deadly Dungeons, and many other gameplay modes hold plenty of challenges for players of all skill levels.”
So like most mobile games and apps, expect Warcraft Rumble to put a large emphasis on PvP content and of course, in-game purchases. Given Blizzard’s recent history with its other mobile game, Diablo Immortal, Warcraft Rumble might also have various pay-to-win mechanics which might ruin the game. It is too early to tell if that is the case.
Blizzard recently put together a full gameplay deep dive for Warcraft Rumble. Check it out below.
