Ebb Software’s Scorn is a gory and uncomfortable upcoming horror-adventure game set within a living labyrinth. The game was first revealed back in 2016 and blends narrative-driven FPS with some offputting body-horror. Together this makes one very creepy game and gory game. Scorn is set to launch sometime in 2021 for PC and Xbox Series X and S. In addition, the game is a next-gen exclusive meaning Xbox One owners won’t be able to play it. Ebb Software revealed more information about Scorn in a gameplay video. However, don’t expect to see much other than the player walking extremely slowly around a living space-ship like environment, reloading his gun and turning his camera like he has all day to get around. Sure, the game looks like a deep and twisted horror shooter but this demo is very, very slow and gets nowhere in the end.

Similar to most horrors games out there, Scorn relies on smart ammunition management while deciding what to kill and what to flee from. The Alien series has no doubt been a big inspiration for the game as the environments and enemies all ooze the same feel. Weapons look as if they are made out of bone and flesh, ammunition is living and squirms around as the player pick it up and not to mention the grotesque enemies. There’s definitely a unique theme going on here as the world, its weapons and enemies all look unnatural.

We don’t know when Scorn plans to release as a full game. However, when the game does it could be one to look out for. The gameplay trailer goes nowhere but it does showcase a world we want to explore. Check it out down below. Find out more here. The game is set to release on Xbox Series X and S as well as PC.
