Blizzard has released a gorgeous new cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The expansion is set to launch on 28 November and the trailer gives us a good look at some of the core story elements that will release alongside the anticipated content. For starters, the video touches on the newfound companionship between the Horde and the Alliance factions. Instead of killing one another in yet another century-long war, the factions are seen soaring through the sky having the best time of their lives while riding on a dragon.
This is a key feature in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. In May this year, Blizzard released an update to the game that enabled cross-faction gameplay. Players were able to form groups with opposing faction members and in the upcoming expansion, you’ll also now share loot from mob kills. There are also rumours that Blizzard is looking into adding cross-faction dungeon and raid queues into World of Warcraft. Perhaps cross-faction guilds too.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is just the first step towards breaking the wall down between the Alliance and the Horde factions in the game. While the game’s story has relied on this ever-changing conflict, the game and the community that drives the experience have drastically changed over the past few years. The new changes in the various grouping mechanics and the future tweaks might see a drastically different World or Warcraft experience being born.
Watch the trailer down below. I recommend watching it on the biggest, most high resolution display you have because once again, Blizzard delivered a stunning visual showcase.
