Wayfinder is coming to early access on 15 August. The open-world action RPG created by Airship Syndicate has been in beta testing for a while now since its original announcement back in December last year. The studio is ready for the world to jump into the game as they add and improve it before its official free-to-play launch sometime in the future.
Wayfinder has a range of Founder’s Packs you can pick up and they range from a measly R299 all the way up to R2230. A little excessive if you ask me. But the studio claims that the best Founder’s Pack comes with cosmetics which they will never release ever again – they promise.

The Exalted Pack comes with a one-of-a-kind style set called the Heroic Kyros pack. It includes some cool-looking items for your character such as a chest piece that looks like a gaping hole with teeth and a scythe with some balls on it.
It also comes with a permanent XP boost item not included in any other pack. So if you want to level up faster then you best pay for this Exalted Founder’s Pack.
The rest of the packs come with most of the same stuff. You’ll get some currency, banners, dyes and other items. The second-best pack includes a housing pet and a Highlands Strider Mount and Saddle. Keep in mind that the game won’t have mount support for a while.
If you want to spend as little as possible on the game, the R299 only includes 500 Runesilver, Founder’s Flag banner, a Glyph Pack and the Paid Rewards Tower.
Wayfinder will also come with what the studio is calling a Reward Tower. It is basically a glorified battle pass and players can earn items as they play the game. There’s a free tower, a paid tower and a premium tower (the extra, extra paid stuff). However, the free tower will lose its rewards each new season whereas the studio claims that the other two can always be unlocked.
Depending on the money you spend will depend on how far you can go in these Reward Tower setups. The free tower is limited to 25 levels, the paid tower includes all 100 levels and the premium tower lets you progress 20 levels instantly and gain access to the Season 1 character Venomess.
Of course, there’s also the in-game currency called Runesilver which is used to purchase additional cosmetics and gear not included in the Reward Tower. But there’s more. The game also includes Wayfinder Tokens used to purchase new Wayfinder characters when they arrive in the game.

Wayfinder is set to launch on 15 August in early access. The game is planned to be a free-to-play game at some point or another. This is obvious given the excessive monetisation taking place here. From XP boosts to three battle passes, additional Wayfinder purchases and even in-game currency, this game is going to be an expensive one to get into.
You can find out more about these Founder’s Packs on the official site here. Keep in mind that pre-orders are not yet open.
