Western Digital WD_Black Partners With Battlefield 2042 For a Special SDD Bundle

Western Digital has announced a special WD_Black collaboration with EA and DICE for the upcoming Battlefield 2042 game. The partnership will see a special edition SSD launching for gamers that looks cool with Battlefield 2042 branding and offers a game code for the shooter with the purchase. The partnership revolves around the WD_Black SN750 SSD that comes in a 500GB and 1TB model.

For those who don’t know, the WD_Black SN750 SSD offers incredible speed when it comes to reading and writing performance. The SSD can reach up to 3,600MB/s which is great for gaming and even better for a game as big and ambitious as Battlefield 2042.

The special edition WD_Black SN750 SSD comes with a standard edition PC code for Battlefield 2042, a limited edition styled SSD design, and the pre-order incentives so you don’t miss out on any special cosmetics for not pre-ordering the game in favour of purchasing this SSD.

Of course, gamers won’t be able to download Battlefield 2042 until it launches on 22 October 2021 but once you have purchased the WD_Black SN750 SSD, you can rest assured knowing you own the game.

At the moment, Western Digital has only provided US pricing but the company has confirmed to us that the offer will be available to South African gamers closer to the launch of the game. As soon as we have the local information, we will share it. The Battlefield 2042 WD_Black SN750 SSD will set you back $114 for the 500GB and $179 for the 1TB model.

If the current WD_Black SN750 SSD pricing is anything to go by, you can expect to pay around R3,600 for the 1TB model and R2,500 for the 500GB version. The current non-Battlefield 2042 retails for this price.

Western Digital shared a cool announcement video to celebrate the partnership on the Battlefield 2042 WD_Black SN750 SSD. Check it out down below.
