Wild Hearts 7 Minutes Gameplay Footage Koei Tecmo EA Originals

Wild Hearts Free Post-Launch Content Detailed

Wild Hearts is out this week and those looking forward to this monster-hunting game will be happy to know that Koei Tecmo plans on supporting it for months to come. We originally heard about this post-launch content a few weeks back when we were invited to an early review stream for Wild Hearts. However, due to the preview embargo in place, we could not share the news. Now that the embargo has lifted, I can confirm the news.

During the event, Wild Hearts’ directors, Kotaro Hirata and Takuto Ed confirmed that following the game’s launch, players can expect free DLC added to the game. Hirata San says that all upcoming DLC for Wild Hearts will be free for all players. He claims that the DLC will add to the game’s current experience and allow players to hunt new monsters (known as Kemona) with friends.

In order to keep the multiplayer experience intact, this DLC also has to be free. That way, players won’t be left out when their friends own DLC content which they have yet to purchase yet.

Takuto San also confirmed the free content for both March and April. The DLC includes new weapon variations and armour variations as well as subspecies and volatile Kemona. In March, players can look forward to a few drops including armour and monsters.

Wild Hearts March Content

  • Subspecies and deeply volatile Kemona.
  • Weapons variations and armour variations.
  • Quests and more high-difficulty quests.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes.

In April, the game will get a bigger update which will enable the game’s weapon and equipment enhancing system. It will also bring with it some new Karakuri. For those who don’t know, Karakuri are the game’s tool. With them you can craft traps, weapons, parkour objects and more.

  • New Kemono and deeply volatile Kemono.
  • Weapon variations and armour variations.
  • New Karakuri.
  • Weapon and equipment enhance system.
  • Quests and more high-difficulty quests.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes.

Unfortunately, the team hasn’t shared specific details on the new Kemono or how this weapon-enhancing system works. Stay tuned for my full Wild Hearts review later this week. Wild Hearts is out on 17 February for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
