Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Team Ninja Koei Tecmo Xbox Game Pass Day One

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a New Action Game from Nioh Dev Team Ninja

During Xbox and Bethesda’s recent games showcase, publisher Koei Tecmo Games and Nioh developer Team Ninja announced a brand new dark fantasy action game titled Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Xbox confirmed that it will arrive in early 2023 and will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass too.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty comes to us from Nioh and Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja. “Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms,” reads the game’s official description on Xbox Wire.

“Players will fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within when Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launches in early 2023,” the description added.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PC in early 2023, but doesn’t appear to be arriving on PlayStation platforms. Team Ninja’s previous acclaimed action-RPG series, Nioh, was exclusive to PS4 and PS5 as well as PC.

Earlier this year, Team Ninja released Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Though aesthetically similar to Nioh, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty focuses on Chinese mythology, as evident by the traditional Chinese dragons seen in the trailer. The trailer gives us a brief glimpse at a historical conflict in China with various supernatural elements included. Demons and monsters are running rampant in the country and players assume the role of a warrior who must combat these creatures.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launches in early 2023 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will also arrive at launch on Xbox Game Pass. Check out the exciting reveal trailer below.
