Wo Long Roadmap Includes Nioh and Lies of P Crossovers

Developer Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo have revealed a detailed roadmap for its action-RPG, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which details two more expansions coming later this year. Additionally, fans can also expect crossovers with Nioh and Lies of P as well as a number of new missions, weapon types, enemies, difficulty levels, endgame content, equipment and more.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty director Masakazu Hirayama stated that Team Ninja aimed to improve the game every month with updates and new content in order to keep players invested. The developer is also focusing on two goals for these upcoming patches: “expanding the scope of strategy with a focus on action and RPG” and “improving the ease of playability.” Compared to Team Ninja’s previous projects like Nioh and Ninja Gaiden, fans noted that Wo Long is considerably less difficult but still challenging enough to not alienate veterans.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Roadmap Nioh Lies of P Crossovers

It’s unclear what form the crossover events with Nioh and Lies of P will take. In the case of Nioh, Wo Long is very similar in DNA and gameplay to the brutally challenging action-RPG series. However, Lies of P is an interesting collaboration. While both games are soulslike in nature, there are enough differentiations between them to make each unique. It’s possible that we could see some inspired outfits from Lies of P or weapon types make its way to Wo Long.

Apart from the free updates which add boss rushes, balance adjustments and various feature improvements, most of the good stuff will be paid DLC. Fortunately, the crossovers for Nioh and Lies of P will be free to all players, even those playing the game on Xbox Game Pass.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
