We know 2K Games will not release WWE 2K21 this year after cancelling the game to re-assess the situation. However, that does not mean there won’t be a cheesy wrestling game packed with microtransactions releasing in 2020. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is this year’s wrestling game by 2K Games. The arcade-style wrestling game, developed by Saber Interactive has been inspired by NBA 2K Playgrounds.
Here’s an overview of the game;
Fans of the series are not happy with YouTube comments blowing up and the video receiving a load of dislikes. “Midget wrestling with microtransactions. No thanks”, “This is definitely straight-to-DVD”. These are some of the comments from fans on YouTube shaming the game’s announcement. It seems once you burn a gamer, they stay angry for a really long time. 2K Games should have thought twice about releasing a broken and buggy 2K20 last year. 2K Battlegrounds is set for release later this year for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
