Xbox Announces New Outdoor and Camping Gear Range

Xbox Announces New Outdoor and Camping Gear Range

Microsoft wants people to wear Xbox branded stuff when they are outside. The company has announced a range of new clothing and outdoor accessories that should brighten up your camping weekend thanks to a lot of green. The camping collection includes a range of shirts, caps, shorts and even a camping chair and hammock.

The clothing comes in some trendy cuts with Xbox branding placed in different areas. The long-sleeve shirt includes a vector mountain artwork with the Xbox logo in white and the ABXY buttons on the sleeve. There’s also a short-sleeve shirt with the same mountain design but in green over the ABXY buttons.

The real eye-catching items in the collection are the hammock and the camping chair. The camping chair boasts an electric green colour with the Xbox logo. The legs are black. It looks like your typical camping chair but the green material definitely makes it stand out.

The hammock is also pretty cool. It features a black a green pattern and comes in a green Xbox carry bag. Don’t get it confused with Razer (even though a lot of these black and green items seem to look like Razer merchandise). It doesn’t come with the stand featured in the image below so you’ll have to find a way to strap it onto a tree or something.

If you are a hiking and camping person you’ll need to keep in mind that some of the clothing items aren’t actually made with materials for the activity. However, some of the items on sale including the windbreaker and nylon shorts are made for the great outdoors. Do you need these items? Well, that is completely up to you. They aren’t cheap. The windbreaker costs $80, the hammock $59 and the shorts alone are $39. You’ll need to really want to look like an Xbox fan when climbing hills for that price tag.

Microsoft is expected to launch the full range in early August so if you are interested you’ll need to firstly, order it on the official site here, secondly pay the crazy dollar to rand exchange rate and hope it arrives in SA. I also wouldn’t expect the range to launch here locally so importing it is your only option.
