Xbox App Getting a Revamp on Windows

Microsoft is testing out a new Xbox App on Windows. The app redesign is now available to Xbox Insiders and features a unified Home experience. Microsoft says the goal of the new app is to combine content from the best of Game Pass and the Microsoft Store into one platform. As a result, users don’t have to move about tabs to find what they are looking for.

When you open the new Xbox App, you’ll see a few changes. The Featured Content area will showcase the latest sales, Game Pass additions, new events and content. There’s also a section dedicated to only deals and discounts. Users will then get a curated selection of recommendations for games depending on their previous play history.

The new Jump Back In feature which was introduced in May is now being added to the compact mode. Here, players can click on any game card and go directly to the game’s hub. They can then jump right into the game without any navigation.

Microsoft is opening up the Xbox Insider Program for users to sign-up and test the app. You can visit the sign-up page here. Remember to share feedback regarding your experience once you have tested it out.

The new app is expected to roll out to all users in the coming weeks. Find out more about the features here.
