Xbox Gamescom Confirmed Avowed World of Warcraft

Xbox Confirms It Will Attend Gamescom This August

Xbox has confirmed that it will be in attendance at Gamescom this year, promising to have the company’s “biggest booth ever.” Microsoft announced the news on the official Xbox Twitter/X account along with a handful of games that will be featured at the show including Avowed and World of Warcraft: The War Within, with more games to be revealed closer to the time.

Going into Gamescom this August, fans can expect Xbox to showcase a decent selection of games, either on the show floor or during Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live kick-off event. The games confirmed to appear at the show include Avowed, Age of Mythology: Retold, Ara: History Untold, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, Diablo Immortal, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Towerborne and World of Warcraft: The War Within. More games will be announced for the show later this year.

The news follows PlayStation’s recent announcement that it would not be attending Gamescom. This marks another year in which Sony has opted to bow out of attending Gamescom, choosing to host online events and digital showcases for its new game reveals and updates instead. Nintendo will also not attend the show this year as the company braces for the imminent reveal of its next-gen hardware, which will be revealed before March 2025 at the latest.

Geoff Keighley also recently confirmed that Summer Game Fest will return in June 2025 for another year of world premieres, reveals and surprises following this year’s showcase.

Gamescom will take place from 21-25 August with Gamescom Opening Night Live kicking off on 20 August.
