Not-E3 season is finally underway as we enter the month of game reveals, surprise announcements, developer presentations and much more. Now that Sony’s PlayStation Showcase is out of the way, players can look forward to a big showing from Microsoft this weekend with the Xbox Games Showcase as well as a Starfield Direct presentation directly after. Here’s when and where you can watch the event(s) and what to expect.
A massive focus will be placed on Starfield, the highly anticipated sci-fi RPG from Skyrim developer Bethesda Game Studios. The game will have its own dedicated presentation directly after the Xbox Games Showcase that promises to offer a closer look at the gameplay and mechanics ahead of its launch this September. However, there’s a lot more in store for fans at the main showcase if you’re interested in seeing the future of Xbox Series X/S.

Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct – When to Watch
You can watch the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, 11 June at 10am PT / 1pm EST or 7pm CAT for South Africans. The Starfield Direct presentation will take place directly after the showcase, though it’s unclear exactly how long both shows will be combined.
Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct – Where to Watch
You’ll have plenty of options to choose when if you’re wondering where to watch the shows. The main platforms for viewing will be YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, either on the official Xbox or Bethesda channels.
Expectations are all over the place since Xbox revealed that all first-party reveals at the showcase won’t be CGI trailers. Instead, they’ll include in-engine footage or actual gameplay. Xbox’s first-party studios have a lot to show since going quiet for the last couple of years, including potential looks at upcoming exclusives like Fable, Avowed and Hellblade 2, among others. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for us.
