Microsoft is set to host the Xbox Games Showcase on 9 June 2024, promising updates to upcoming Xbox games including exclusives, third-party releases and much more. Anticipation is riding high for the showcase to be a slam dunk success, especially in light of Xbox’s recent controversial studio closures. Here’s when and where you can watch the Xbox Games Showcase, including the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reveal event and what to expect.
This year’s Xbox Games Showcase will be directly followed by a deep dive into this year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Beyond that, fans can also look forward to a show that will reportedly run for two hours and feature around 30 games. Hopefully this means that the event will give games their due time and feature some solid gameplay showcases.
When and Where to Watch The Xbox Games Showcase 2024
When to Watch
The Xbox Games Showcase will take place on Sunday, 9 June at 1PM ET / 10AM PT / 7PM CAT local time. Thankfully it’s not too late and it’s a nice way to snuggle up on a cold winter’s night and catch the show.
Where to Watch
As for where you can watch the event, it will be streaming on multiple platforms including Xbox’s official YouTube channel, Xbox’s Twitch channel as well as American sign language on Xbox’s ASL Twitch channel. We’ve also embedded the livestream (courtesy of GameTrailers) below for your convenience. It’s currently counting down to Sunday’s show.
We can only speculate about what will be shown at this point or go on the good word of insider information. A previous report claims that Xbox will shadow drop a major first-party game at the event and tease a portable device during the show. A new DOOM game, apparently titled DOOM: The Dark Ages, might also show up. A May leak from The Verge revealed that Gears 6 might be at the event along with concrete release dates for Avowed, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle.
