Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Arrives in March 2025

Nintendo is porting the Xenoblade Chronicles X to the Switch with an expected launch date set for 20 March 2025. The port marks the last game in the Xenoblade series to launch on Switch as Nintendo has already re-released the first game and two sequels on the platform.

Originally launched in 2015 for the Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X is a darker, mech-focused game that takes place in the year 2054. The game follows humanity after they flee Earth to find refuge on the hostile planet of Mira. Similar to other Xenoblade games, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition features a large open world to explore and real-time combat.

Players will control powerful Skell machines. These are customizable mechs that provide advantages in combat and exploration. All of this is tied into the game’s five massive continents that players will traverse through in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.

Nintendo is also porting over multiplayer from the original game. This means that Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will let players join squads and recruit other players to help them in missions. Of course, the game also features enhanced visuals, added story moments and other unannounced elements.
