Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Shows Parker as Public Enemy #1

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. The trailer arrives a day after footage of the video apparently leaked online which caused Sony Pictures to scramble and try and pull the content offline. The trailer is much nicer to watch than the leaked blurry one and takes us on a three-minute adventure laying down the plot for the upcoming film.

Spider-Man: No Way Home picks up after the events of Far From Home where Peter Parker’s Spider-Man identity was revealed to the world. Things go south during a field trip to Europe and Peter Parker is labelled public enemy #1 by Quentin Beck, also known as Mysterio. Fans have been wondering what comes next as the world finally knows who Spider-Man is.

The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer touches on the challenges Peter Parker faces being “out”. Not only has his identity been tarnished and marked as a villain but his family are also struggling to handle the negative attention. The trailer reveals that Peter Parker seeks out help from Doctor Strange in hopes that there might be some way he can undo the damage that has been done. Strange then casts a spell on Parker that caused everyone to forget he is Spider-Man. However, the spell doesn’t go well and it causes a mess with other dimensions.

The trailer doesn’t reveal all the characters and villains we will see in the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. However, fans have already pinpointed a handful of teasers that pop up during the dimensional crash. The flash of light could be a sign of Electro, the freakish voice sounds like Green Goblin and of course, Doctor Octopus could also return.

Sony Pictures will most likely reveal more in new trailers leading up to the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film is set to release this year on 17 December 2021. Watch the trailer down below:
