Evil West has finally been dated for a 20 September release. For those who don’t know, Evil West is a third-person action game from Focus Entertainment and Flying Wild Hog. The game aims to merge the Weird Wild West with vampires, undead, giant creatures and lots of gore.

Players take on the role of Jesse Rentier as they head off to try and eradicate a new supernatural terror that has formed in the region. Jesse’s family has been in charge of a long-running organization who have sworn to protect the world from these monsters. However, this time Jesse’s quest is much bigger and deadlier than before as the entire vampiric world has descended on the United States.

In Evil West, players will enter gory ranged and melee combat as they come face to face with death itself. Jesse is equipped with powerful weapons capable of performing intense over-the-top attacks and damage. The game is described as “gory carnage in a vampire-infested Wild West”. Evil West also plays into a lot of classic folklore that has been carefully crafted to fit this Wild West theme.

As players kill these creatures, they will be able to perform deadly combos that literally see Jesse ripping enemies apart with his bare hands. Jesse’s guns can be upgraded to deal more damage and he can make use of all sorts of steampunk-like weaponry to defend his land.

Evil West also features co-op meaning players can jump into their friends’ game or invite other players to help them destroy their hordes.
