From Software is Hiring for Several New Projects, Next Game Almost Complete

The next From Software game after Elden Ring is already in the final stages of development, according to director Hidetaka Miyazaki. Speaking in a recent interview, Miyazaki offered a bit of insight into the future of From Software. Players can expect more Elden Ring updates in addition to a couple of new projects currently in the works. The company has also started hiring for several unannounced new projects.

In an interview with 4Gamer, Miyazaki spoke about From Software’s upcoming projects beyond Elden Ring, though didn’t offer any exact details about them. Miyazaki stated that the studio’s next game is in the final stages of development, but also added that he’s working on directing another game too.

Before the interview was published, From Software put out some job listings for “several new projects” currently in the works at the acclaimed Japanese studio.

Earlier this year, rumours began circulating about From Software possibly reviving its dormant mech-action series, Armored Core. These rumours were also accompanied by several leaked screenshots, adding further validity to them. However, they haven’t been entirely verified or denied by any parties directly involved.

It’s possible that the next project close to completion is Armored Core, though it may not have Miyazaki in the director’s chair. Elden Ring has yet to receive an expansion, so that might also be a possibility.

However, the big question everyone will inevitably ask is whether or not From Software were employed by Sony again to work on a Bloodborne sequel. The 2015 action-RPG has not received a PS5 upgrade, remaster or PC port, despite massive outcry from fans asking for it. We’re not putting any money on this being the case, but the demand is there and hopefully, PlayStation is paying close attention to it.

Elden Ring is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
