PlayStation is set to host a brand new State of Play showcase later tonight and it’s shaping up to be a big one. So far, Sony has promised a deep dive into new Insomniac Games’ upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine, though the rest of the showcase remains a mystery. Here’s when and where you can watch it, as well as what you can expect from the event (at least as far as the rumours fly).
The new PlayStation State of Play showcase is the first of many summer gaming events taking place over the next few days. Sony has already confirmed it will run for over an hour long and feature both first and third-party announcements, including the aforementioned new look at Marvel’s Wolverine (set to launch on 15 September this year). We’ve already talked about five of our biggest dream announcements we hope to see at the event, so make sure you check that out.
As for when you can watch the State of Play, it’s scheduled to take place tonight (or later today depending on where in the world you are) on 2 June 2026 at 10pm BST or 11pm SAST.
PlayStation is already counting down to the stream on YouTube which we’ve embedded below for convenience, but you can always visit PlayStation’s official YouTube or Twitch channels as well.
Beyond what has already been confirmed, there are also a handful of rumours online suggesting possible reveals for some pretty big titles – the biggest of which includes a reported Cory Barlog-directed God of War spin-off centred on Kratos’ late wife, Faye. Previous reports state that the game will feature multiple mythologies, not just the Norse saga. Another rumour making the rounds is the potential reveal of two new Rayman games, taking the form of the remastered Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition and a remake of Rayman Legends.
Some rumours also claim that we’re getting a remake of the first Devil May Cry from Capcom, though we’d personally take this one with a grain of salt.
