Xbox Head Phil Spencer has revealed that he currently has the next-gen Xbox Project Scarlet in his house and he is using it as his primary console. Phil revealed on Twitter that he is currently using the console at home, connecting to the community and even using the Elite Series 2 (a working one) and of course, “having a blast”.

Phil then went on to state that 2020 is going to be an incredible year for gaming. What Phil is playing is still a mystery but chances are he is just playing some Halo or Gears of War on the device.
And it’s started….this week I brought my Project Scarlett console home and it’s become my primary console, playing my games, connecting to the community and yes, using my Elite Series 2 controller, having a blast. Great work by the team, 2020 is going to be an incredible year.

We know the Xbox Project Scarlet is set for a Holiday 2020 release date and will be four times more powerful than the Xbox One X. Reports claim it will be able to output 8K resolutions (not in-game) as well as 120 frames per second gameplay at variable refresh rates. It will also support real-time ray-tracing with SSD support which will offer over 40 times the performance of current generation hardware.
We know it won’t have VR support as Phil Spencer claimed last week that “nobody’s asking for it”, however, as long as the console has great games to play on it then that is all that matters. We also know that the next entry in the Halo series will be an Xbox Project Scarlet exclusive launch title so Halo fans will have something to play on day one. Holiday 2020 cannot come soon enough.
