Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 Announced

Apple has announced its Watch Series 9. The new wearable doesn’t change the game but the company says Apple Watch Series 9 includes some beneficial changes internally that will make your life easier.

The most striking part of the announcement is the new pink version of the watch. The light pink Apple Watch Series 9 will launch alongside black, grey, silver and dark blue. The watch features Apple’s new S9 chip which the company says is faster and improves the daily battery life.

Apple Watch Series 9 also comes with a new gesture feature where users can “double tap” their fingers together to trigger an action and even answer calls. The new gesture aims to give users control over their Apple Watch without having to use a second hand to access it.

The new series also marks the launch of a range of new eco-friendly bands. Apple calls these Fine Woven. You’ll be able to find this new recycled, carbon-neutral band in different forms including buckle, magnetic strap and more.

The new Apple Watch Ulltra 2 is also on its way. The company says it is brighter than last year’s model at 3000 nits and also includes the new S9 chip. It still includes the same great battery life of 36 hours and also packs the new double-tap gesture control.

While there was a rumoured titanium grey model meant to be announced, it seems Apple is still set on releasing the same single silver Apple Watch Ultra 2.
