Diablo IV Rogue Class Unveiled in a Gruesome New Trailer

The fourth Diabo IV class was announced at BlizzCon this morning, alongside the awesome-looking Diablo 2 Resurrected. The fourth class is none other than the rogue. It joins the likes of other classes including the barbarian, druid and sorceress. Of course, it classic Blizzard style, the announcement came in the form of a fancy CG trailer and looks absolutely grim.

While very little is known about the class at this point, the trailer does showcase some of the skills and abilities players can expect to see from the class. This includes the classics such as crossbows, dashing around with dual daggers and raining arrows from above after leaping off a horse’s back.

Blizzard says that the Diablo IV rogue class offers some exciting ways to play the game. While the barbarian uses brute strength, the sorceress uses magic and the druid focuses on ferocious, the rogue lets players choose from a range of weapons and abilities. These include daggers, traps, poisons, shadow magic and more. Blizzard claims that the rogue is not just a tribute to the original class that appeared in the first game but is also inspired by the Demon Hunter and Assassin.

Along with the announcement, Blizzard also hosted a developer deep dive into Diablo IV. This touched on the rogue class, mounts, camps and more. The developer deep dive is around 27 minutes and shows off some great new gameplay for the game. If you have some time on your hands then I definitely recommend you give it a watch.

Of course, Diablo IV is not arriving this year. Blizzard stated earlier this month that the game won’t be releasing until 2022. It joins the likes of Overwatch 2 which has also been missing in action. Instead, Blizzard is focusing on the upcoming Diablo 2 Resurrected and the mobile Diablo Immortals. Both of which also don’t have a release date as of yet.
