Dota 2 Collector’s Aegis of Champions Now Shipping to South Africa

The title says it all. The awesome Aegis of Champions collector’s item is being shipped to South Africa right now. This should make those who had a Battle Pass of level 1000 or above extremely happy and excited, just like I was when I received the email from Valve. It will join my other Aegis of Champions on my desk “soon”. Last year, the Aegis of Champions was sent out in waves, with some countries receiving it earlier than others and this year it seems to be the same situation.

The email I received begins with an oh-so-sweet line:

Thank you for Supporting The International Battle Pass and for providing your shipping information on the sign-up form. The Collector’s Aegis of Champions will soon be yours!

However, “soon” might not mean to Valve what it means to many of us. Last year, it took nearly three months to arrive after the email was sent out. Sure, it is being shipped from Los Angeles, US, but that is still quite a long time to wait. Then, it has to go through the South African postal service and arrive at your local post office as well.

There is some bad news for those who reached Battle Pass level 2000 and above. The Baby Roshan isn’t being shipped at the same time and right now, there is no specific date when it will be shipped. Valve explains that:

Please note this shipping notification is for The International 2018 Collector’s Aegis only. If you are eligible for the 2017 or 2018 Collector’s Baby Roshan, they will be shipped separately once redesigned. Once Valve is satisfied with the improvements to the Collector’s Baby Roshan, eligible recipients from 2017 and 2018 will be notified with shipping details.

The email includes a tracking number and link. At the time of writing, the Aegis of Champions is still with USPS in Los Angeles getting ready to travel to South Africa. Check those spam inbox messages just in case you might have missed the email. If you have any question regarding your shipment or if you haven’t received an email yet, you can make an inquiry by following this link.
