EA Will Not Host a Press Conference at E3 2019

Unlike Sony, Electronic Arts will be at E3 2019 but their presence at the show will be limited. The gaming giant will host their usual EA Play session which is a separate E3 game showcase and hands-on event that takes place away from the LA Convention Center, but there will be no press conference.

EA usually hosts a press conference where they announce all their new games and titles coming out in the next couple of months and then shows these games off during the EA Play session across a few days. This year, there will be no press conference.

Instead, EA will replace it with multiple live streams that will air during the first two days of the event while offering reveals and insights from the teams making the games. EA Play will take place from 7 – 9 June 2019 where all this will go down. Between 8 – 9 June 2019, EA will host its annual EA Play FanFest where the public can come along and try all the recently-announced games.

The lack of an EA E3 2019 Press Conference could be due to EA trying something new. Last year, other than Anthem, EA had nothing really “wow” to show off as everything was already announced beforehand. We will most likely see the new Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare title, this year’s Star Wars Battlefront or Battlefield game, Respawn’s Star Wars game too and of course, FIFA 20. Perhaps the new Dragon Age will make an appearance too? Who knows.
