Lawbreakers Cliff Bleszinski

Lawbreakers is Playable Again Six Years Later Thanks to Fan Project

Fans of Lawbreakers can now jump back into the game which originally shut down back in 2018 after a short time on the market. This is thanks to a new Lawbreakers 2.0 launcher released by modders.

The shooter launched in August 2017 and received somewhat positive reviews from media and fans. However, due to its incredibly low player count and tough competitive competition at the time, it shut down just a year later.

Creator Cliff Bleszinksi previously said that he wanted Nexon to republish Lawbreakers and bring it back from the dead. Although nothing was ever made official, this Lawbreakers 2.0 project is likely the closest thing we’ll get to that dream.

The new launcher is not affiliated with Nexon or the Lawbreaker brand. However. it does allow players to boot up the shooter on Steam and play multiplayer matches online. Sort of like nothing ever happened to the game in the first place.

Bleszinksi hasn’t commented on the launcher at all yet. Nexon hasn’t issued any sort of takedown yet either. So the fate of this Lawbreakers 2.0 launcher remains unclear.

If you want to give the game a whirl, you simply need to head on over to the official website, download the launcher and follow the instructions. There’s also a Discord you can join to stay updated on features and report bugs.

The whole process seems quite simple and features a one-click process. You just need to keep the launcher alive in the background while you play. You can find out more here.
