Microsoft is now working on official Xbox Series X console wraps which the company hopes will add to the mass number of Xbox Wireless Controller designs on the market. The wraps are made exclusively for the Xbox Series X with no Series S variants available whatsoever.
This year the company plans on releasing three Xbox Series X console wraps. The first is an official Starfield wrap. This version will launch on 18 October. Later in on 10 November, the company will then release two different camo wraps. There’s a grey version and a blue version.

Microsoft says all these wraps will cost the same at $49,99 each. It will allow gamers to customize their consoles and show support for their favourite games. By that, it is clear the company is planning many more of these.
According to the reveal video, installing these wraps is pretty simple. They just wrap over the console and connect with a clip at the back.
“We know gamers want to be able to customize their consoles and show support for their favourite games, and we are delivering an option that’s more affordable and more sustainable than purchasing a special edition or limited edition console,”
The wraps also have cutouts for all the USB ports, the power button and little feet at the bottom to keep the vents open. The Starfield version also has cool inner artwork. All the insides of these wraps are also made of a fabric finish.
“The wraps were designed specifically for Series X and have a custom, precision fit. Every detail was taken into consideration to ensure your console performance is preserved– vents are all clear, and small feet were added to the bottom of the wraps to ensure air can flow freely through the console. Made with solid core panels that are layered with high-tech fabric finishes, the wraps are folded around your console and secured with a hook and loop enclosure. The interior of the wraps are printed with silicone designs that keep the wrap in place.”
Microsoft put a lot of effort into the Starfield wrap specifically. The company says the wrap highlights all the cool details on the Xbox Series X with markings near the cutouts. The design closely follows the recent Starfield Xbox Headset and Wireless Controller.
“The Starfield-inspired console wrap reimagines your console as an on-board avionics module, powering you through your adventures. Key internal console components are highlighted through outlined access panel and game inspired graphics. Technical call outs detail actual console functionality, with an in-game twist. This wrap has a soft smooth white high-tech feel, with vividly printed surface graphics that are tactile. The internal fabric has a soft precision sheen, with a silicone gravity wave print for cling and stability. Reach through the colorful Constellation ribbon to power your module on, and take to the stars with the bronze metallic Constellation insignia on the wrap closure.”
We don’t have any word on a South African release for these products just yet. However, I will keep you updated once we hear more.
