PlayStation Overlay For PC Detailed Including Trophies and Cross-Play Support

Sony has detailed a new PlayStation overlay for PC which is expected to arrive alongside Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut next month. The system will give players access to PlayStation Trophies, Friends lists, Settings and their PlayStation Network account while they’re in-game.

In order to access this overlay, you’ll need to sign into your PSN account on the game. The PlayStation overlay is then accessible by pressing “Shift + F1” on your keyboard. Once open, you’ll be able to view your trophies for the game, access your friends lists and send and receive invites to certain activities.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC is shipping with the co-op Legends Mode. The mode features cross-play between PC and PS5 so this overlay will come in handy when inviting friends to the game.

PlayStation Trophies on PC

Trophies are also synced across PC and PS5 meaning you’ll be able to earn the same trophies you have already unlocked when you load up the PC game. In addition, the game will also include its own Steam achievements. Sony says the PlayStation overlay on PC is completely optional.

We also don’t know if Sony plans on rolling out the feature to other current PlayStation ports on PC. Helldivers 2, for example, doesn’t use this system. Nor does the recently launched Horizon Forbidden West.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is out on 16 May for PC alongside this new overlay. You can find out about the game’s PC system requirements and features here. Read more about the game and the PlayStation overlay here.
