Silent Hill Reboot “Project 0” is a PS5 Exclusive Coming in 2022 – Report
According to the rumour, Sony plans on hosting a PS5 reveal event for 9 Septemeber 2020. This stream takes place on the 25th anniversary of the original console’s release in North America. The PlayStation 5 event will play host to a range of big hardware and game reveals including a full tech showcase of the actual console. Sony plans on showing off the PS5 UI, features, unboxing and teardown. In addition, the company will announce the PS5 price, release date and its global rollout plan for the console.
Other details seem to point to a bigger PlayStation Now rollout in more regions. Sony plans to release the game streaming service in more countries and rebrand it with a new marketing approach.
When it comes to PS5 games, the report claims that the event will play host to 10 launch window titles. These include Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet and Clank, Demon’s Souls, Godfall, Returnal, Bugsnaxx and others. In addition, Sony will share new trailers for new 2021 titles including Horizon Forbidden West. The company will also announce a big first-party horror game by Japan Studio. This is no doubt the Silent Hill reboot.
During the event, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer reveal will also take place. The game will be played on a PS5 and reveal the multiplayer beta dates. This makes sense given Sony’s exclusive deal with Activision for the game.
Keep in mind that this is all a rumour so take it with a pinch of salt. However, it sounds like a dream come true. The date does mark the 25th anniversary of the PSOne launch. In addition, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer reveal is also set to debut on the 9th of September. It could be one giant coincidence or not. Keep in mind that last week, a report pointed to a 13 November release date for the PlayStation 5. Things are slowly starting to rev up.
