Sony Bend Studio has officially redesigned its logo and announced the exciting news that it was developing a brand new multiplayer IP. The game will build on the open-world mechanics of Days Gone, though no other information was provided.
Bend Studio online community specialist Kevin McAllister detailed the news in a recent PlayStation blog post, ending off with a tease for its next project in development. PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst previously confirmed that Bend Studio was working on a new IP and now it looks like we have some confirmation from the studio itself.

McAllister wrote on the blog post:
“Today, we are excited to share just a snippet of news on our current project. We are currently working on a new IP that includes multiplayer and builds upon the open-world systems of Days Gone, but brings you a whole new world that we are extremely excited to craft for you. We cannot wait to reveal it to you when the time is right.”
Alongside the announement of a new multiplayer IP, Bend Studio also unveiled the company’s new logo, which seemingly goes for a more modern, simplistic look. Nonetheless, it looks fantastic and fits in well with PlayStation Studios’ first-party logo designs. Bend associate art director Shay Casey provided a more detailed explanation of the logo’s new look:
“We set out to create a new identity that would be cutting-edge, abstract, and minimalist. It should feature simple, high-tech geometry but also represent the constant motion of creativity. Ideally it would be the kind of logo that is recognizable to gamers on the street without the need for a wordmark. Over time it should be easily identified as a symbol of gaming just like a certain swoosh is of sportswear.”
Bend Studio is working on its next IP, though we’ll likely hear more about it in the next few years.
