Take a Look at the Frightening Night Creatures in Dying Light 2

Dying Light 2 takes place twenty years after the original game. According to Techland, this has allowed the deadly virus that took over the world time to grow and evolve. So much so that the enemies and monsters that we thought were all-powerful and deadly are now even bigger, deadlier and scarier.

In the latest Dying Light 2 dev trailer, Techland showcased a handful of the menacing creatures players will encounter in the game. First off we have the so-called “Sleeping Beauties”. In the trailer, the player is seen creeping through the dark rooms to avoid these blind enemies that lay in wait. Startling these enemies would no doubt cause a horde to chase you down and eat your limbs.

We then get a glimpse at a larger, goliath-like brute enemy that whips around in the darkness. He is definitely not something you would want to mess around with. There’s also a sitting enemy that will most shoot acid your body when it spots you. This enemy type is similar to the original game’s spitting enemy.

Of course, it is not Dying Light 2 without the Volatile. The trailer showcases this deadly returning enemy who now seems more resilient than ever.

The trailer doesn’t include much combat and instead focuses on stealth and showcasing the range of enemies players will face in dark areas. It then ends with the player running through the area and into the light resulting in all the zombies frying in the sunlight. No doubt all these enemies in this trailer are focused on dark areas and what players will encounter during the night. We can’t wait to see what enemies await us during the day.

Check out the Dying Light 2 trailer down below. The game is set to launch on 7 December 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC.
