Anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Patch Arrives in March

Insomniac Games has confirmed that the anticipated patch for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that adds New Game+ will launch next month. The update was expected to roll out before the end of 2023. However, back in December Insomniac said the team needed more time with it.

The patch was then delayed to “early 2024” which many believed would be January/February. It seems the update needed more time in the oven. Players can expect it now on 7 March.

Insomniac Games says the update will not only include New Game+ but also new suits and more features. While details are scarce, the studio is expected to add replayable missions to the game in the next update. You’ll be able to replay some of the best missions from the main game without having to restart from scratch.

The patch will also come with other cool features including the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colours and Audio Descriptions. At the moment, we don’t know what else the update will include apart from this confirmed content.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was released in October last year and we loved it. In my review, I mention how the new swappable lead characters create an even more enjoyable playground and Venom is one of the best villains we have seen in gaming.
