Apex Legends Reveals New Character Valkyrie, Daughter of Titanfall 2 Pilot

In the next few weeks, Apex Legends will kick off its new season of content. Up to now, rumours and teasers have pointed to a Titanfall 2 season and now Respawn Entertainment has confirmed this with the reveal of the next legend, Valkyrie.

Respawn Entertainment released a new “Northstar” video that introduces “Valkyrie” Imahara, daughter of Titanfall 2 antagonist Viper. The animation sheds light on the new character and how she experimented with flying a titan at a young age. She then steered into a battle by mistake and her father had to save her.

While we don’t know much about the Valkyrie legend and her abilities at this point, the video does hint at what players can expect from her when the new season releases. At the end of the video, we see Rampart modifying the remains of Viper’s Northstar titan which is most likely a focus for her abilities. EA also released a key art of Valkyrie showing her shooting rockets out of a jetpack. Of course, players can expect to use this ability in Apex Legends.

The video ends with a 4 May release date which is when players can expect the new season to go live. The official Apex Legends site also lists a new weapon coming to the season called a Bocek Bow.

A powerful and deadly weapon, for those with the skill to wield it. Capable of inflicting tremendous damage at medium range, you’ll need to make each shot count.

Check out the trailer down below and prepare for the new season of Apex Legends arriving on 4 May 2021. In other Apex Legends news, there’s a mobile game coming our way soon too. Find out more about the port here.
