Capcom Launches Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary Website

Capcom has launched a new Dragon’s Dogma site to celebrate the series’ 10th anniversary. While it sounds like the strangest move yet from the publisher, Dragon’s Dogma is a lot bigger than it actually seems. While the series has yet to get a sequel of any sorts, in ten years, we have seen multiple re-releases of the original game and even its own Netflix series.

Fans have also speculated that Capcom is working on a new Dragon’s Dogma game but we haven’t seen or heard any official reports of its existence yet. If you don’t know what Dragon’s Dogma is, it’s an RPG that was introduced to the world back in 2012. Players take on the role of an Arisen as they venture through the world mastering their abilities and fighting creatures.

While Dragon’s Dogma might look like any other RPG out there, the game actually featured some unique gameplay including a Pawns system that saw players enrol combatants in their party to help them throughout the game. They could also enrol online players’ pawns in their party too. While the game lacked a dedicated online mode, this Pawn system was a way for other players to join your party through their Pawns without actually being in your game.

Dragon’s Dogma is playable today. You can pick it up on PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox in a bundle that includes its expansion pack, Dark Arisen. I absolutely loved the game back in the day and highly recommend everyone gives it a go once in this lifetime. It might look a bit dated today (it was originally a PS3 and Xbox 360 game), but it is well worth the play.

Capcom shared a message on the game’s 10th anniversary saying:

Dragon’s Dogma, first released in 2012, is celebrating its 10th anniversary!
Thank you, Arisen, for taking up arms and braving through the impossible challenges laid ahead of you. We are forever grateful for your support throughout the years and hope you will join us in this momentous celebration of Dragon’s Dogma!
