Evil Dead: The Game joins the many other games now pushed into 2022. The movie/TV show turned video game was announced earlier this year and is currently in development at Saber Interactive. Unfortunately, while it was scheduled to release later in 2021, it has been pushed into 2022 in order for the developers to get more time with the title. Evil Dead: The Game will now launch in February 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC.
There is some good news at least. Up to now, the upcoming game focused on a PvPvE experience. Players would take on the role of humans fighting zombies and player-controlled monsters. This is similar to the Dead by Daylight series. However, Saber Interactive has announced that at launch next year, Evil Dead: The Game will include a dedicated single-player experience.

As an avid fan of the TV show, this is great news. While we don’t know much about the single-player mode at this point, Saber says that it acts as an opportunity for players to play the game without friends by their side. Hopefully, it is not a PvP mode simply turned into a single-player mode with bots taking the place of your friends. The Evil Dead series has such an incredible horror story that it would make for a wonderful story-based experience. The full statement reads:
Evil Dead: The Game will be releasing in February 2022
Hey groovy gamers, we’re targeting a new release date to give the team some extra time for polish and to ensure this is the ultimate Evil Dead experience you’re all waiting for! pic.twitter.com/c5I4OSQshA— EvilDeadTheGame (@EvilDeadTheGame) August 5, 2021
This additional time is also allowing us to implement a single-player option that will let you enjoy the game when you are without your co-op compadres.
Hopefully, Saber Interactive will share more regarding Evil Dead: The Game in the coming months. Unfortunately, we are going to have to wait until February to get our hands on it. Catch up on the latest trailer down below
