Fallout New Vegas 2 is Reportedly in Early Talks at Microsoft

One of the most underrated entries in the Fallout series, Fallout New Vegas might get a sequel in the future. According to Giantbomb, developer Obsidian is in early talks with Microsoft to start developing Fallout New Vegas 2.

Jeff Grubb, who hosts the Gianbomb show called Grubbsnax, says that people have started speaking about the game at the studio. He claims that talks have kicked off surrounding Fallout New Vegas 2 specifically and where the game could possibly go.

Keep in mind that given the early talks, we are most likely a few years away from seeing this Fallout New Vegas 2 in the flesh. However, now that Microsoft owns Obsidian we do have hope that the studio will work on reviving some older classic games.

Grubb says that while the project hasn’t been greenlit just yet, a “lot of people at Microsoft think this could work and there’s a lot of interest to make it happen”.

Fallout New Vegas launched back in 2010 and acted as a spin-off to the main Fallout series. It was set in Arizona, California and Nevada. While it wasn’t part of the main Fallout series, the game was praised for its setting and great post-apocalyptic theme.

There’s a pretty good chance that Fallout New Vegas 2 will happen but don’t expect to see the game for a couple of years.
