Gears Tactics released earlier this year for PC and is fantastic. In my review, I praised the game’s unique strategic gameplay that manages to deliver a refreshing change for the series. The game originally launched only for PC with the Gears Tactics on the Xbox One planned to release sometime later this year. It seems the launch may be closer than we expected. The official Gears Tactics Xbox Store page has appeared and although there’s no release date yet, it gives us hope that the game may arrive soon.

The page allows players to pre-load a placeholder game title of 104MB which will update with the full game closer to the time of launch. Gears Tactics is expected to launch closer to the end of 2020 on Xbox One. In addition, the game will support Xbox Play Anywhere so those of you who already own it on PC will automatically unlock it on Xbox One. It will also support HDR and 4K on the Xbox One X.
