Last week, developer Guerrilla Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment officially announced Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PS5 and PC, a definitive edition of the 2022 action-adventure game that bundles the Burning Shores DLC with the base game. The PS5 version launches tomorrowv but PC players have to wait until early 2024. Due to the sheer size of content, the packaging has confirmed that it will ship on two discs.
As reported by Twitter user and video game analyst MauroNL, the back of the box for Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition states it will ship on two blu-ray discs. Apart from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth which launches next year, this is the first time that a PS5 game has shipped on two discs. With a minimum of 121 GB, it makes sense that two discs will be required as newer blu-ray discs have a storage capacity of around 100 GB.

Needless to say, you might have to clear up some space on your storage if you plan on purchasing and installing Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition.
The physical copy of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition on PlayStation 5 will ship on two blu-ray discs. A minimum of 121GB is needed for installation.

In related news, previous reports revealed that Sony spent around $200 million on the budget for Horizon Forbidden West alongside The Last of Us Part II. Thankfully it resulted in pretty strong sales after receiving great reviews at launch, managing to sell 8.4 million copies by May 2023. That number will surely go up, especially with the launch of the new edition.
