Knuckles Live-Action TV Show Gets First Trailer – Headed to Paramount Plus in April

Paramount has released the first official trailer for the upcoming Knuckles live-action TV show. The spinoff series will bridge the gap between the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie and the upcoming third live-action film which is set to launch later this year.

Knuckles (Idris Elba) was originally added to the ongoing live-action lineup in the second film. Paramount always planned on releasing a limited series featuring the Echidna and the story is directly tied to the third film.

According to Paramount, the show follows Knuckles who is now living a seemingly comfortable life in Green Hills, Montana. He is living peacefully alongside Sonic (Ben Schwartz) and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey). However, Knuckles has been raised on vengeance and the warrior feels like this small-town life isn’t for him.

Knuckles then joins forces with a cop named Wade Whipple who both venture out into the world to search for worthy opponents. They both realize that former Robotnik employees are still searching for Knuckles to weaponize his abilities. The trailer gives us a closer look at some of the villains and the lengths they will go to capture Knuckles.

Paramount says that the Knuckles TV series will debut on 26 April only on Paramount Plus. The show will be released in six episodes and offer a solid chunk of storytelling. It will get fans excited for the release of Sonic The Hedgehog 3 later this year. The film is expected to launch on 20 December.

The new live-action series will follow Knuckles (Idris Elba) on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. The series takes place between the films SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3.
