More Far Cry 6 Details Leak Including Horse Riding, Jetpacks, Narcos and Tropical Islands

Yesterday we reported on the news that Far Cry 6 could be announced during the Ubisoft Forward event in July. It seems it could be completely real as game details have even popped up online. According to a well-sourced ResetEra member Okabe, Far Cry 6 will feature a lot of Far Cry 3 mechanics.

Okabe posted the hints online where he said: “hope y’all like riding horses and shooting while riding horses”. In addition, he mentioned tropical-ish Islands, helping zoos, jetpacks and Narcos. Okabe also mentioned that he had posted this information online in the past. Presumably, no one believed him due to the game’s under-the-radar presence. However, now that the July reveal has been leaked, this information could actually make sense.

For Ubisoft to go back to the original Far Cry 3 setting in the next “6” instalment makes complete sense. While I loved the North American setting, many fans of the series did not. The tropical island setting will also give Ubisoft an opportunity to showcase their skills on next-gen consoles given that the game’s so-called April 2021 release date will be well int0 the PS5 and Xbox Series X lifecycle.

Keep in mind that this information, while sounding great, is still a rumour for now. The Ubisoft Forward event takes place on 12 July 2020 so stay tuned for that stream. If Far Cry 6 is indeed real, the game will be showcased for the first time during the event. However, don’t be surprised if Ubisoft starts teasing it before the showcase. Seen as the company took three weeks of teasers to reveal the Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Take this with a pinch of salt for now.
