Ralph Ineson Cast as Galactus in MCU’s The Fantastic Four

Ralph Ineson, the actor best known by gamers for voicing Lorath in Diablo 4 and Cid in Final Fantasy XVI, has been cast as Galactus in the upcoming MCU movie The Fantastic Four. Ineson will portray the world eater on screen for the first time since 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

As reported by Variety, Ralph Ineson will join the cast of The Fantastic Four next to Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby to portray Galactus, one of the main rivals of the superhero group and a deadly force in the Marvel universe. Ineson is known for his distinct voice so it’s a perfect fit for the menacing presence of Galactus. Ineson also starred in the acclaimed 2015 horror movie The Witch, as well as playing the titular role in the 2021 fantasy movie The Green Knight.

It was previously rumoured that Javier Bardem was in talks to play Galactus in the MCU, though we’ve heard nothing about those conversations since the reports surfaced. That said, Ineson is a phenomenal choice to play the villain as he’s not only a good actor but might also bring a unique, intimidating quality to Galactus with his voice and persona.

The Fantastic Four will be a reboot of the franchise and star Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Not much is known about the plot but it will include the female Silver Surfer, Shalla-Bal (played by Julia Garner). Since Silver Surfer’s story ties directly into Galactus, it makes sense to cast the villain – especially since he might also play a big part (no pun intended) in Avengers: Secret Wars.

The Fantastic Four is set to release on 25 July 2025.
