Resident Evil 4 Remake News Likely Coming This Month

News surrounding Capcom’s upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4 will likely arrive this month, according to a leaker. Capcom previously announced the remake last year, aiming to focus more on the horror elements above the action of the original. So far, everything we’ve seen from the gameplay seems to suggest this, though more information will reportedly be revealed soon.

According to renowned leaker Dusk Golem, Capcom will reveal new information about the Resident Evil 4 remake this month, stating that there might’ve been a big press event for the game back in December. Additionally, Capcom’s marketing push usually begins three months before a new game’s release as seen with Resident Evil Village and other games in the series. The remake is currently pinned to release at end of March.

According to a recent tweet by Dusk Golem, Capcom will have something ready to show fans this month for the remake. As always, take this with a grain of salt.

“Btw, I’d say it’s very likely that there will be some new RE:4 news this months. There’s definitely implications there was a press event for RE:4 in December probably, & usually Capcom kicks off a bigger marketing push for Resident Evil games about 3 months to release.”

Capcom have been successfully remaking several older Resident Evil titles lately and it was only a matter of time before the developer decided to tackle Resident Evil 4, which is generally seen as one of the best video games of all time. Meanwhile, Capcom has also continued to release newer entries. Resident Evil Village was the last game released in the series and it’s rumoured that the company is currently working on a continuation, though it probably won’t revolve around the Winters family.

Resident Evil 4 remake launches on 24 March 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out the latest trailer below.
