Samsung Galaxy Fold 5, Flip 5 South African Pricing and Pre-Order Details

Samsung has shared the latest foldable lineup from the company which includes the Galaxy Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5. Both devices were announced during the July Unpacked event and are set to launch in South Africa very soon. So if you’re looking out for a new foldable phone then here’s the South African pre-order guide and everything else you need to know.

For the most part, both of the new devices boast minor upgrades. The new Galaxy Fold 5 doesn’t really have any new features to pinpoint but internal improvements have been made to the SoC and there’s a new hinge which incorporates the new gap-less design.

The Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 now has a large outer display which acts as a complete hub for widgets, games, notifications and more. You can fully customize the display to suit your needs and Samsung claims that at times you don’t even need to open the phone because everything you need is right there.

Both devices will be able to pre-order in South Africa starting from 27 July. Samsung is offering the usual trade-in offers where you can get up to R10,000 cash back on select devices. The program also lets you trade in non-Samsung phones towards the purchase.

If you do pre-order, Samsung will also double your storage. So you’ll get a 512GB model when you pre-order a 256GB model. Both devices will then ship to pre-order customers on 11 August and be available in-store from 25 August.
