Skull and Bones Open Beta, Year 1 Content Roadmap and PC System Requirements Detailed

Ubisoft is finally launching Skull and Bones in February after what seems like the longest delay in video games. The studio has now detailed what players can expect from the naval game within its first year of release. In short, Skull and Bones will get four major content drops throughout the year all themed around a new nefarious pirate – called a Pirate Lord.

Each season comes with new gear to collect, new modes to enjoy and even some gameplay changes which help keep things fresh. In a video, the studio revealed the first season in quite some detail while also revealing some of the game’s end game content. Ubisoft says that Skull and Bones world events will change each season offering players new objectives each time around.

Ubisoft has also shared the official Skull and Bones PC system requirements. If you want to run the game at its best, which is 4K 60FPS at Ultra settings, you’ll need at least an RTX 3080 with DLSS on Balanced or an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT with FSR on Balanced. Of course, any higher hardware means you can sample down the DLSS or FSR to play the game without it.

Skull and Bones PC System Requirements

Last but not least, Ubisoft is kicking off the first open beta for Skull and Bones in February too. While the game has been in development for the longest time, it has yet to hit open beta. Ubisoft says all players across PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC can jump into Skull and Bones on 8 – 11 February. There’s also no time limit this time around.

The previous closed beta was limited to only six hours of gameplay. Players can now play as much as they want during the closed beta. All progress you make in the closed beta will also carry over to the main game on 16 February.
