Star Wars Jedi: Survivor PS4 and Xbox One Versions are Coming

Electronic Arts has confirmed that PS4 and Xbox One versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor are currently in development, though no release date was mentioned. The critically acclaimed sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launched earlier this year on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC but last-gen versions were notably absent from the platform options. It looks like developer Respawn Entertainment is finally giving fans a last-gen port.

EA recently revealed the news in its Q1 2024 earnings call, citing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor‘s success as one of the main reasons behind its record-breaking Q1 earnings. While the game’s strong sales were achieved without a last-gen release, it looks like EA is attempting to broaden the availability of the title on older systems as well for players who have yet to purchase a current-gen console.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson spoke highly of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in the earnings call, stating:

“Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is pure blockbuster entertainment, rooted in a timeless, culture-defining IP. Our team at Respawn proudly launched this title to critical acclaim and commercial success. Millions of players have already engaged with the game, making this one of the biggest events in the Star ars galaxy this year. Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PS4 and Xbox One.”

“Over the coming year, we will harness the community’s passion and capitalize on key Star Wars franchise moments to drive continued engagement for this incredible game,” Wilson added.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. We’ll have to wait for an official release date for its PS4 and Xbox One versions.
